So this is the last post for some time now. I have just moved into my new host family and they have told me that their Rotary tells them that I should not be speaking with anyone in my family or friends from back home for at least a month. I love you all, and will see you on the other end of september. Mother, I went to the Alien Registartion desk today and got my ID card which means that for the year that I am here I have health care, including pharmacy. Sayonara everyone -Ian

  1. My dear boy...
Thank you for post and for the great picture of you! It makes me so happy to see you looking very well. I will respect the Rotary's wish to let you acclamate without a lot of familial interruption.
I just need to know what I should do about prescriptions...is that something that I should forward to a pharmacy there for you or just send them on as previously discussed. Just let me know, honey.
Know that I love you and and am thinking of you always. xoxo Mom

  2. Ian Bubble Trousers,

Aunt Julie and I were talking about you the other day, while shopping for Ellie's back-to-school supplies. We miss you, and all that other mushy stuff. I understand why the Rotary wants you to wait a month before contacting family--it makes sense, in a way--but it still kinda stinks. Oh well. Rules are rules.

It's also reassuring to hear that you registered and have health care coverage while you're there. Maybe with a lot of work this Fall, we can override the idiots here at home, and there'll be a public option waiting for you when you get back!
